How do I join Champion Mentors?

What qualifications do I need to become a Champion Mentor?

You’ll need to provide evidence of:

  • 100 point ID 
  • Current Drivers License
  • Right to work in Australia
  • WWCC/blue card (optional - only required when working with participants under 18)
  • First aid certificate (dated within 3 years)
  • CPR certificate (dated within 12 months)
  • Car insurance certificate
  • NDIS workers screening clearance
  • Other training, credentials and qualifications may be required depending on the role.
Is there anything else I need to be successful in this role?
  • A demonstrated capacity to work with honesty and integrity.
  • Great communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ambition, curiosity and passion for the role.
  • Two great referees who can provide us with information about you as a person and your work ethic. 
  • A commitment to safe work practices and Champion Mentors policies and procedures.
  • To contribute and work in a culture committed to continuous improvement.
How much will I be paid?

Pay rates vary depending on experience/ formal qualification and job requirements against the relevant Award. We’ll let you know the pay rate and other entitlements if it feels like we’re a good fit.

Do I have to accept any work that’s offered?

No, you have the flexibility to accept or decline any work offered to you.

Do I have to wear a uniform?

We like our staff to wear activity-appropriate clothing. If a Participant prefers that you wear a uniform, we’ll supply you with one.
